Americare Contracts for Phase 1 Patient Access Solutions' D-PAS Program to Handle Nursing Paperwork

HAUPPAUGE, NY--(MARKET WIRE)--Dec 1, 2008 -- Patient Access Solutions Inc. (OTC BB:PASO.OB - News), a leading provider of healthcare/financial processing solutions for the healthcare, home care, nursing and dental industries, and The Americare Companies, one of New York's largest Home Healthcare agencies, today announced that they have signed an agreement to institute Patient Access Solutions' D-PAS digital solution for Americare's licensed home care services agency, Americare Inc.

Phase 1 of this agreement between the two companies will use PASHealth digital pen technology and robust form capture to interface nursing and patient notes with Americare's internal system. Phase 1 will consist of the deployment of D-PAS digital pens along with the design and implementation of over fifteen custom nursing information forms. Nurses and Home Aides will be able to process paperwork in their usual work flow, while being able to digitally transfer the information back to the Americare main office using Patient Access Solutions' D-PAS program. Upon completion and success of Phase 1, the goal is to roll out the D-PAS Digital pen program to the other divisions of Americare. Those divisions consist of: Americare CSS -- Americare Certified Special Services, Inc. -- A Certified Home Health Agency providing quality home care in the Metro New York area for the mentally ill and developmentally challenged, as well as for general patients from newborns to seniors. Amerikids, Inc. -- A licensed Early Intervention Program that provides diagnostic and therapeutic services for children from birth to age three who are at risk for normal development, or who demonstrate developmental delays. Americare Therapy Services -- A rehabilitation services company, providing seasoned home health care professionals -- including physical and occupational therapists, PT and OT assistants, and speech-language pathologists -- for patients from early childhood through advanced geriatric.

According to Bruce Weitzberg, CEO and President of Patient Access Solutions, "We look forward to integrating the D-PAS technology with Americare's proprietary software system to help improve the efficiency and reporting needs of the home care industry and payer communities. The advantages of streamlining the paper process while improving productivity in the home care industry are obvious, and we are pleased with this agreement."

Elly Kleinman, President and CEO of Americare, said, "We look forward to working with PASHealth in our continuous efforts to provide our staff with the best possible solutions available."
